Prodeko Ventures (PV) is a development company founded by the Industrial Engineering and Management Guild, Prodeko, and the Prodeko Alumni.
The mission of Prodeko Ventures is to encourage and support Prodeko-affiliated individuals and start-up companies in pursuing high-growth-oriented entrepreneurship. PV focuses on making early-stage venture capital investments in companies with Prodekomembers in key positions.
Founded in 2015, Prodeko Ventures is backed by funding from nearly 200 Prodeko alumni. The fund has invested in close to 50 Prodeko-related ventures and continuously screens new opportunities to invest in and contribute to the growth of the Prodeko start-up community.
Prodeko Ventures’ Investment Strategy and Criteria:
Stage: Usually participates in first round of external funding, e.g. pre-seed.
Focus: High-growth-oriented start-ups
Requirements: The venture must have a close affiliation with Prodeko
Committed and capable team with full time employee(s)
Prodeko members/alumni in key role
Scaleable business model with international potential
Professional lead in the round
Potential for follow-on funding
PV investment creates impact
Deal Flow: 3-7 new investments per year
Investments: Typically €25,000–50,000 in convertible notes, or, in cases involving a professional VC or Angel-led syndicate, as an equity investment
